About Damian Bramer

I have been involved in nutrition for over 20 years and in the last 6 years I have been lucky enough to work professionally in this field as a nutrition consultant and coach. I have worked with many different people suffering from a variety of conditions. This includes those currently in treatment for cancer and those doing everything they can to avoid a re-occurrence. It is hard to imagine that there is anyone on this planet that has not been impacted in some way by this disease, and it is becoming harder and harder to ignore the importance of nutrition for cancer care.

As Cancer Champions came to fruition, I was thrilled when asked to be a part of it. Having the opportunity to be a positive part of one’s cancer journey is a true honor.

I have more than two decades of experience working in nutrition, with the last six of those years helping to improve my clients’ health as a Certified Nutrition Consultant and Coach.

I developed a deep appreciation for food and its relationship with the body early in my life. Because of this commitment to wellbeing, I chose to attend the University of California, Davis, where I earned my B.S. in Nutrition Science. This education gave me a deep understanding of the chemistry of food and its metabolic relationship with the human body. As my own nutrition evolved, I became more aware of how food can be used therapeutically, and decided to advance my education in this area specifically. At Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition + Culinary Arts, I learned a great deal about whole food nutrition and its relationship to disease.

Over the course of my career, I have worked with people who suffering from a wide array of conditions, such as autoimmune disease, degenerative diseases, mental health, diabetes, and perhaps closest to home, cancer. I believe the best way to maintain good health is to adopt eating and lifestyle habits that are sustainable for the long term. These habits should be manageable and enjoyable, and they should support your individual energy requirement, optimize your digestive health, lower inflammation, and keep your blood sugar balanced.

Strengthening the body with whole food nutrition is my passion and life’s work. I am honored to be a part of the Cancer Champions team and, like my colleagues, am committed to supporting you on your health journey.
