About Dave Miller

Dave Miller was born and raised in Palo Alto, California, where he spent most of his life before relocating to Woodland, CA in 2020, where he currently resides. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound and began his professional career in April 2001 as a commercial insurance broker, following in his father’s footsteps.

Over the past two decades, Dave has built a distinguished career in commercial insurance and complex risk management, with a primary focus on the construction industry. He has developed particular expertise serving contractors within the multi-family housing sector, helping clients navigate sophisticated risk environments with strategic insight and long-term planning. Since 2014, Dave has been with IMA Financial Group and its predecessor, Bolton & Company, where he is a shareholder.

In addition to his professional work, Dave is deeply committed to community engagement and nonprofit service. He has served as a board member for the Housing Industry Foundation and currently serves on the board of Western Construction Consultants (WESTCON). In these roles, he has contributed to outreach, advocacy, and community-focused initiatives, dedicating his time to strengthening the industries and communities he supports.

Dave lives in Woodland with his wife, Wendy. Together they have six children and two grandchildren. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, playing pickleball with Wendy, and cycling. He is currently training for a century ride with Team in Training, reconnecting with his long-standing passion for the sport.
