About Dion Wiedenhofer

I love helping people reclaim their power and embody resilience. It brings me so much joy to facilitate mindful movement for wellness and healing, and I have had the pleasure of sharing embodiment practices for many years.

I draw on my training in Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY, 2018) and as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200, 2013) in my work with survivors. I also am deeply influenced by my experience with other movement modalities, such as dance, Pilates, and weight training. Also invaluable in my work are the observations and personal stories shared with me by hundreds of clients.

My approach is guided by self-compassion, empathy and with an intentional emphasis on inclusivity and anti-oppression. As part of the Cancer Champions team, I am deeply grateful to share this body-based, felt-present-moment practice with cancer fighters and survivors, and with all who wish to connect with their body.

This work is personal for me; my mother is a breast cancer survivor and I have experienced the grief of losing loved ones to cancer.

In addition to my private practice and my work with Cancer Champions, I also enjoy working alongside Thriving Pink, a nonprofit organization that helps cancer survivors thrive by providing a network of support for women and their families. I look forward to breathing, moving and approaching healing together.
