Meet Brent Burkholder
Brent is kind, compassionate, and he is a doctor - we are so lucky to have him as a Coach. Brent has worked in public health for over 30 years and in 25 countries. He has worked for the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, so you could say he knows a thing or two about the medical community. Brent is also a prostate cancer survivor and Cancer Champions member, so he is intimately familiar with the cancer journey and all the different challenges it includes.

Meet Erin Ochoa
Erin has seen the devastating impacts of cancer, having lost her father to the disease in 2010. She also knows the power of human strength, and how a positive attitude can help someone overcome cancer as her sister and father-in-law are both cancer survivors. Erin found her niche 26 years ago when she began her full-time teaching career at the elementary level, and eventually shifted to a substitute teacher position when she and her husband started their family. Erin takes great pleasure in fitness, gardening, animals, and cooking. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and three children, who now live in every time zone of the USA!

Meet JoAnn Stodden
JoAnn Stodden has been involved with Cancer Champions since 2015, when she discovered the positive impacts that fitness and nutrition can have on the quality of life of those with cancer. JoAnn's sister-in-law was battling a second round of breast cancer at the time and seeking holistic care. Knowing that Cancer Champions could play an important and complementary role in treatment inspired JoAnn to become more involved with the program. JoAnn works in Yolo County as a Controller in the agricultural industry. She enjoys traveling both near and far, hiking, running, and fitness in general, and spending as much time as possible with her two adult children.
