Please join us for our FIRST ANNUAL

Cancer Champions Run/Walk 2024!

Please join us for the first annual Cancer Champions Run/Walk! Choose between 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, or Virtual Participation options. All participants are encouraged to fundraise as a part of their registration either as an individual or as part of a team.

At Cancer Champions, we are proud to support those impacted by cancer through personalized fitness, nutrition, and mindset guidance. No matter where somebody is on their cancer journey, whether currently undergoing treatment, post-treatment, or if they are a care partner for somebody battling cancer, we will be there. Research has proven time and again that exercise, nutrition, and positive mindset can help improve quality of life for those battling cancer.

Proceeds from the Cancer Champions Run/Walk go to uplifting our current members as well as providing our comprehensive resources to new members who seek out our support every single day.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: All entries are NON-REFUNDABLE and are NON-TRANSFERABLE to another event. This event will occur rain or shine.

Transfers to Another Individual: If you wish to transfer your entry to a friend or family member in the case that you become injured or cannot otherwise attend, it MUST be done before 11:59 PM on September 5, 2024. There is no fee to transfer to a friend/family member but your request must be completed online through your RunSignUp account. Doing so via your RunSignUp account will send an email to your friend, who may then accept the transfer request and provide their information, shirt size and agree to the liability waiver. No phone, fax or in person requests for entry transfers.  The person to whom you are transferring your entry must complete the request on or before 11:59 PM on September 6, 2024.

Changing Registrations: Few companies allow you to change your registration, however, our friends at A Change of Pace are different! Participants can only change their race distance if you send an email before the day of the event at [email protected]. Please note: Our NO REFUND policy still applies. (This includes no refunds on any price difference)

Runner Etiquette: Due to majority of the course being on a bike path we ask runners to be respectful of those around you. Please view the course as you would a freeway; slower paced runners should stay on the right to give faster paced runners room to pass on the left.

Dogs and Strollers: We love your dogs and little ones almost as much as you do, but all strollers and dogs must start towards the back. Dogs must be well-behaved, on non-retractable leashes, comfortable in crowds and around other dogs, and not prone to jumping or barking when excited.

This is our first annual Cancer Champions Run/Walk and all proceeds will benefit Cancer Champions (that’s us!) to help support those impacted by cancer through customized fitness, nutrition, and mindset guidance. By providing these amazing resources, which are designed by highly educated experts in the fields of cancer exercise, cancer nutrition, and mental health, we are positively affecting the overall quality of life of our members and their support teams.

Our partners at A Change of Pace consider event volunteers the backbone of each event.  From registration and finish line volunteers, to water station and course monitors, each person fulfills a critical role in both the safety and success of the race.

Volunteering at a running event can be fun and intrinsically rewarding while providing the opportunity to be a part of the community and meet new people. There are roles for people of most ages and backgrounds and no experience is necessary!

For this event, we have volunteer opportunities available for those looking to:

  • Volunteer and give back to the local community
  • Fulfill required community service hours (school, sorority, etc.)
  • Fundraise for a non-profit, youth organization, sports team or club, or other charitable organization

Individuals can sign up to volunteer here. To sign up as a group, or for questions, please contact Maya Miramontes.

Sponsorship opportunities are now open! For more information, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Cancer Champions Run/Walk Sponsorship“. Several levels of sponsorship opportunity are available to fit your organization’s marketing budget, ranging from $7,500 to $250.
